Structural Integration for the Back, Neck, and Shoulders

Learn to apply structural bodywork theory, foundational concepts, and techniques to lengthen tissue and facilitate a client’s positive relationship with gravity. 

Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:

• Learn to work with the fascial planes of the body.

• Understand the importance of body awareness, the effects of gravity on the structure, the tensegrity metaphor, and fascia.

• Understand the major working tools of structural bodywork.

• Learn how to incorporate structural bodywork tools into a Swedish-style massage session.

•Learn how to organize a session around a visual assessment (viewing).

• Understand the importance of “fleshing” fascia in the correct direction for optimum results.

• Learn correct tools and techniques for working the neck.

• Learn correct tools and techniques for working the back.
