Side-lying massage is often associated with prenatal care, but it provides valuable therapeutic benefits for a wide range of clients. Developing confidence in alternative positioning allows you to better support each client’s comfort, relaxation, and overall well-being.

In this class, you will learn proper draping and positioning techniques using pillows to ensure client stability and ease. We will review relevant anatomy and physiology to deepen your understanding of how the side-lying position affects muscular and structural alignment. The course will also cover key muscles that can be effectively treated in this position, along with appropriate stretches to enhance results. You will learn how to identify clients who would benefit most from side-lying massage, and you will gain hands-on experience through guided practice.

Please bring two sets of twin sheets, massage oil or cream, and two standard-size bed pillows.
