Beta Class: Hip Replacement Therapy
9am - 5pm
Between 2000 and 2010, the number of hip replacements in America doubled. Each year, over 450,000 hip replacement surgeries are performed in America. This hands-on class will walk you through working with those who have undergone hip replacement surgery. We will discuss the timeline of recovery and appropriate techniques during the progression. You will become intimately familiar with the procedure, the recovery process, and the way the body is affected. Techniques for treatment will include scar tissue reduction, lymphatic work, myofascial work, and others. While this course focuses on soft tissue work after a knee replacement, these techniques can apply to many knee related concerns, as well as common post-surgical conditions.
